25 Yard Pool Closure

As of the 16th July 2007 the training pool is to be closed and the club will be training in the 50m pool. Club times will remain the same except for the Monday training sessions which will run between 7.30pm and 9pm. The groups on this night will be split into 2. Further details of groups can be obtained from coaching staff. The club is looking at a number of further opportunities regarding where the club trains and details of these will be made available as soon as they are known.

Sponsored Swim

The sponsored training session was a success with well-needed funds being raised. Can all swimmers get their sponsor money in ASAP so that a final amount raised can be shown and the voucher for the most money raised be awarded.

Sprint Gala

The club is to hold an Invitational Sprint Gala on Saturday 29th September 2007 at the International pool. It is hoped that as many as possible club swimmers will enter this event. This is an ideal event for a first time gala with swimmers being heat graded so you swim against swimmers of similar ability. Liverpool Gala

The club sent a team of swimmers to the City of Liverpool Gala at Everton Park on the 7th/8th July 2007. For such a small team (10) swimmers the club ended up finishing 5th overall. There were notable swims from everyone but in particular the Rogers brothers and the Oliver brothers.

Shop

Club members are reminded of the club shop and that it is at a use it or lose it situation. The club also needs parents to run the shop please contact Louise for details

Friday Session

Training sessions at Skelmersdale have stopped for the summer and will commence again on the first Friday in September (1/9/07)
